What are we about?

In today’s society where families face so many challenges, we turn, through imitation and prayer, to the model of family life: Jesus, Mary and Joseph – the Holy Family of Nazareth. We, as families, work to heal each other’s wounds and foster an environment of love. We achieve this by means of the Cenacle.

Why Cenacle?

Be not afraid, your family is not alone – through family prayer groups (cenacles), praying for each other, Jesus, Mary and Joseph will lead each of us into the light to which we are called. The family that prays together, stays together.

Why the Holy Family?

The holy life of Joseph, Mary and Jesus while at Nazareth provides us with a perfect example of familial love. Joseph and Mary practiced the simple virtues of family life with Jesus as the center of all love and activity. The Holy Trinity dwelled with them as they showed complete trust in the Father’s will, both in Nazareth and in facing the many difficulties that came upon them. Imitation of the virtues practiced by the Holy Family is the way for all souls to attain that peace which comes from God alone.

Why Consecration?

When we consecrate ourselves and our families to the Holy Family, we place ourselves in their protection and find spiritual renewal through their merits and graces.

Guidelines

Members of the Cenacle of the Holy Family of Nazareth promise to:

• Pray as a family once a day

• On the first Wednesday of each month, pray a family rosary, reciting the Joyful Mysteries in honor of Saint Joseph’s pure heart and in memory of his life with Jesus and Mary and the love he showed them. In addition, make a consecration to the Holy Family

• Three times a year, gather with other members to celebrate Mass on the Feasts of the Holy Family, Saint Joseph and Our Lady of the Cenacle

Act of Consecration to the Holy Family

O Jesus, our most loving Redeemer, who having come to enlighten the world with Your love, did pass the greater part of Your life with Mary and Joseph in the poor home of Nazareth, thus sanctifying the Family that was to be an example for all Christian families, graciously receive our family as we consecrate ourselves to You this day.

Protect us, guard us and establish among us true peace and love: in order that by living according to the divine pattern of Your family we may be able, all of us without exception, to attain to eternal happiness.

Mary, dear Mother of Jesus and Mother of us, by your kindly intercession, make this, our humble offering, acceptable in the sight of Jesus, and obtain for us His graces and blessings.

O Saint Joseph, most holy Guardian of Jesus and Mary, help us by your prayers in all our spiritual and temporal needs; so that we may praise our divine Savior Jesus, together with Mary and you, for all eternity.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you, save souls.(3 times.)

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of America - Patroness of Our Land

O Immaculate Mother, Queen of our Country, open our hearts, our homes, and our Land to the coming of Jesus, your Divine Son. With Him, reign over us, O heavenly Lady, so pure and so bright with the radiance of God's light shining in and about you. Be our Leader against the powers of evil set upon wresting the world of souls, redeemed at such a great cost by the sufferings of your Son and of yourself, in union with Him, from that same Savior, Who loves us with infinite charity.

We gather about you, O chaste and holy Mother, Virgin Immaculate, Patroness of our beloved Land, determined to fight under your banner of holy purity against the wickedness that would make all the world an abyss of evil, without God and without your loving maternal care.

We consecrate our hearts, our homes, our Land to your Most Pure Heart, O great Queen, that the kingdom of your Son, our Redeemer and our God, may be firmly established in us.

We ask no special sign of you, sweet Mother, for we believe in your great love for us, and we place in you our entire confidence. We promise to honor you by faith, love, and the purity of our lives according to your desire.

Reign over us, then, O Virgin Immaculate, with your Son Jesus Christ. May His Divine Heart and your most chaste Heart be ever enthroned and glorified among us. Use us, your children of America, as your instruments in bringing peace among men and nations. Work your miracles of grace in us, so that we may be a glory to the Blessed Trinity, Who created, redeemed, and sanctifies us.

May your valiant Spouse, Saint Joseph, with the holy Angels and Saints, assist you and us in "renewing the face of the earth." Then when our work is over, come, Holy Immaculate Mother, and as our Victorious Queen, lead us to the eternal kingdom , where your Son reigns forever as King.

Amen.

Hail Mary of Gold

Hail, Mary, White Lily of the Glorious and always-serene Trinity. Hail brilliant Rose of the Garden of heavenly delights; O you, by whom God wanted to be born and by whose milk the King of Heaven wanted to be nourished! Nourish our souls with effusions of divine grace.

Amen!

Saint Joseph’s Prayer

Saint Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you, all my interests and desires. Oh, Saint Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me, from your Divine Son, all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers.

(Here, ask favor)

Oh, Saint Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach, while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name, and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. Saint Joseph, Patron of Departing Souls, pray for us.

Amen.

Prayer for Daily Neglects

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with all its ove, all its sufferings and all its merits.

First - To expiate the sins I have committed this day and during all my life. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. Amen.

Second - To purify the good I have done badly this day and during all my life. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. Amen.

Third - To supply for the good I ought to have done, and that I have neglected this day and during all my life. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. Amen.

Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet

Jesus, I trust in you.
